CREATE SOLUTIONS AND PROTOCOLS

EMEA WORKING GROUP

Our directors initiated the STS Regional Forum for EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) in 2014. We play a major role in a number of working groups, but we are particularly proud of the impact this group has had, and continues to have, on industry safety. Using the same ethos that underpins everything SafeSTS does, we look at problems, we consult, we listen, and we research to create solutions and protocols that benefit every stakeholder in the industry.

HELPING OTHERS IS IN OUR DNA

CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY

Our corporate responsibility to the environment is paramount in our delivery and by its nature covered by our HSE compliance. Quite simply, helping others is in our DNA. In particular, our passion for helping young people realise their potential and get the most out of life whilst raising the profile of our industry is achieved through many initiatives and affiliations including the Mason Trust, Icanbea, and University Technical College Norfolk.

The Mason Trust

Established by our founder, Yvonne Mason, The Mason Trust is a charity dedicated to raising the aspirations of young people. It helps to develop future generations of workforce by forging closer links between education and our industry. It also provides essential support to young people in the form of grants made to individuals or to organisations working with young people. The charity focuses its support on the young people of Yvonne’s home counties of Norfolk and Suffolk where our head office is based.

UTCN

Since 2014, University Technical College Norfolk has been developing the engineering and technology specialists of tomorrow through a unique curriculum which has been designed in conjunction with employers to give students the skills and qualifications required in the workplace. Technical challenges provide contextualized learning opportunities which show the students the relevance of the subjects they are studying.

In 2017 Yvonne Mason became the Chairman of the Industry Liaison Group at the UTCN and in 2018 joined the Board of the New Anglia Skills.
